adventure flying

Tailwheel flying challenges you in all the right ways, building sharper stick-and-rudder skills, stronger situational awareness, and a deeper connection to the airplane. It’s one of the most rewarding ways to learn to fly, opening the door to backcountry strips, ranch runways, and a more adventurous side of aviation.

C3 Tailwheel students fly a 2001 PA-18 Supercub on 31" Alaskan Bushwheels. This is an authentic back country flying machine! You will experience grass and pavement takeoffs and landings around the highland lakes area in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. This is pure stick & rudder flying and always makes for an incredible Adventure.
We offer a 2-day course that will get you about 7 hours of flight time or if you are seeking that little extra adventure, we have a 3-day course that explores more places and about 11 hours in the seat. We recommend the 3-day course if you plan on purchasing a cub or similar aircraft.
